Don’t miss Tomitribe next week at Jfokus this February 3rd – 5th in Stockholm, Sweden. JFokus is one of the largest Java developer events in Europe – 1500 attendees, over 50 conference presentations with topics ranging from Java SE & Java EE, Frontend & Web. Android & Mobile, Continuous Delivery & DevOps, Internet of Things, Cloud & Big Data, Future & Trends, Alt.JVM Languages like Scala, Clojure & many more.

The tribe will be there speaking on Apache TomEE, showing how developers can achieve simple and lightweight applications on Tomcat leveraging Java EE technologies. The session will be Wednesday, 9am in room C1.

Those coming to JFokus from Finland are welcome to come aboard the Vaadin Meetup, Monday February 3rd. We’ll be joining Mandy Waite of Google and Joonas Lehtinen of Vaadin, presenting onboard a cruise ship in the middle of the icy Baltic sea headed for Stockholm. You’ll have an opportunity to meet the team behind Vaadin and TomEE and network with your peers with a cold free beer in your hand. Registration is open to the public!

David is a co-founder to OpenEJB (1999), Apache Geronimo (2003) and Apache TomEE (2011), 10-year member of the JCP serving in Java EE, EJB, CDI, JMS and Java EE Security JSRs, JavaOne RockStar for 2012 & 2013, 2015 inductee into the Java Champions and nominated for JCP Member of the Year 2015. He is a contributing author to Component-Based Software Engineering: “Putting the Pieces Together,” from Addison Wesley and a regular speaker at JavaOne, Devoxx, ApacheCon, OSCon, JAX and Java-focused conferences.
